Do you think that talking in person makes people more afraid to be mean the way they are online?

I have! I actually stumbled upon one after meeting another writer, but the internet can make finding one in your area pretty easy. We got together once a month and for the most part, it was helpful. It was a women's-only group which helped me feel more comfortable. Most of them knew how to give constructive criticism, but there's always going to be someone that just doesn't like what you've written and who's comments aren't helpful at all. You just have to brush those people off. Through Facebook I've also found tons of online groups. They can be way more brutal.

You're invited.
