How do you flex with grace in a diverse work conditions of hyper-competition?

Since globalization, the work place has changed. Cultures in different geolocations have different rules for excelling. Often times it means how to get the competition out rather than how to optimize a team or personal performance. There are many difference especially when it comes to women working. Protocol from one country to another should follow the a natural progression of that region, corporate edict and respect for the work at hand. On daily basis, you made what you assume is a personal agenda but in reality may be just a different way of communicating. US Americans, Latinos, Europeans, Asians and Middle Easterner women have many different ways of approaching and conquering their tasks at work and some women may chose to divide and conquer vs. improvement for all. If this resonates with you, share an example and how you solved and moved forward from an uncomfortable position and what you took away from experience so I can learn. Thank you for your help.

A.N., so hypothetically your investing in real estate and your going after a property and member of your team, after a morning status meeting, contacts the client directly and lands the business but not the way everyone agreed it would happen. So then do you just laugh, smile and say to the rest of the team, 'We got the job, let's charge the next hill' and wait for it to happen again demoralizing the team and making it about that person instead of your organization?

I don’t endorse hyper-competitions, because it is based on lack— the theory that only one team, company or product can win. A better emphasis: creating the best team, product or company by focusing on excellence and cooperation. In other words, focus on making your business unit, your product and your company shine— not on diminishing someone else.
