Crazy landlords..anyone else have to deal with them?!
March 22,2019 at 7:41PM UTC
My current landlord has decided to go through our trash each and every time we throw it out. She gets super mad about everything (such as used paper napkins in the trash rather than the food bin, which apparently they're allowed to be in) and we're wondering if she's checking that we're putting used female sanitary products in the trash rather than flushing (something she mandated upon move-in). I've dealt with worse (like a landlord who didn't fix plumbing that flooded a basement), so in comparison, trash policing seems mild, but it's still so irritating to feel like we're being policed/watched constantly no matter how careful we are. Have any of you experience something like this??

I have a hourly job at a gourmet grocery, this is a fun job and is not a career job.
It is fun except when the owner shows up...she is a great person but not approachable....if we have a suggestion it is immediately dismissed, then is a couple of weeks she will bring up some changes, hmmmmm...and also she restricts time requested off.....says this is a time off zone...really a part time, no benfit job

I have been searching for a job for a little over a year
I have great experience and I believe I have been acing my interviews. The only big issue is that my experience is from another country. How can I get experience in this country when no one wants to hire me?

Yesterday I was supposed to have my 1:1 with my boss directly after our team call to talk with him about my Q4 goals.
He asked the rest of the team to stay and hear what I had put together. When I told him what I had planned he said that I wasn't proactive or strategic and hadn't done certain things. I spoke calmly back and said it wasn't true and that I had done these things he mentioned and it hadn't really worked well and then I mentioned what was working. It didn't go well and I feel angry and demoralized as I have had a lot of success in my role but he keeps making terrible comments like this in meetings. I have a lot of experience in my field and I'm trying to share my expertise but he doesn't want to listen to it and thinks he knows everything. I'm hoping for some advice on how to handle someone like him.
