I recently lost my job after 18 years. My department was downsized due to budget cuts. I'm subscribed to several job alerts, just created a LinkedIn profile, and I'm networking like crazy but have yet to find a job. It's only been two months and I've had several good interviews that got down to me and 2 others and I didnt get the position.
When I ask for feedback the comment is it's nothing bad the other person just had more experience or had what we were looking for. I know I am qualified or I would not have went through so many interviews! One particular position did not even mention a requirement of having knowledge of a particular area nor was it mentioned in the interview.... I think that was just their way of saying we already had somebody in mind. Any suggestions?
