Hello! I have a professional background in Curatorial Work at Museums, as well as Real Estate. Over the past couple months I have been freelance designing and taking odd jobs. I am artist, and have a great aesthetic sense, am very good with people and clients, and have an entrepreneurial spirit. I am looking to transition my career in to a more challenging and lucrative filed to use my background and skills, as well as grow financially. I was looking into the Marketing Associate, Account Manager, or Art Director realm.
My questions :
1. Do I need to go to Grad School? If so - in what path? Marketing MBA?
2. What kind of things are looked for in a portfolio? Am I able to create my own, with mock products and ideas to show a potential employer. If so - are there resourced to help me mock this?
3. What is the best way to get my foot in the door?
