What does the pattern of household work look like in your family?

As my children get older I'm trying to figure out a way to delegate household tasks. My husband and I both try and help where we can but we don't have a great technique for holding our own weight. Curious, what responsibilities do children have in those patterns of work and if you have a partner or extra helper, how does that help delegate your time and how?

There's a really interesting FGB series on this called Who Does What! In each piece in the series, a couple answers questions about how they divide up all of their household labor.
