With Gratitude, Towards One and All
Yes, these are unprecedented times / uncharted waters / challenging times or however you may like to describe this. The only time I’m going to use the C-word is in #. Escapism is a thing and it feels great. So, there’s a lot floating out there on how to keep calm and carry one. This article is also one such, but I hope the tips will be carry-able. Maybe somebody will benefit. Give them a try:
1. Invest at least an hour in yourself. From self-care to gardening to eat-pray-love, do what is feel-good. You’ll be able to control that temper or tongue. I guess it works because of the shift in energy. Need I say more?
Bonus Tip: Nothing – you can take out an hour for yourself, even half an hour will do.
2. What did you do for your work-life today? Did you learn any new skill or a new topic? Refurbished your CV? We all know how challenging these times are. Double-yes for those of us already dealing with ageism, sexism, racism, jobless-ism. So, get on Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Fiverr or whatever and hustle.
Bonus Tip: Focus on the communication skills along with the digital.
3. Check those vibes. I know this seems out-of-place here. But honestly, what answer do you get when I ask you – what vibes do you give out? Do you radiate hope or the opposite? See inward and you might just get the answers you are seeking. But don’t dwell for too long. Over-thinking has never done anybody any good.
Bonus Tip: Listen carefully to what you say to yourself.
