Ladies, how do you celebrate your personal success at work?

I always have the urge to want to celebrate in some way after a promotion, bonus, name title change, or new job. I usually treat myself to a favorite meal. Some people celebrate by treating themselves to clothes, a spa day or going out for drinks. How do you celebrate your successes?

I shut off all electronic communication and give myself the freedom to disconnect for a whole weekend or even a week. (except calling loved ones and making meaningful time for them- I live remotely from almost everyone who is important to me) I want to clear my mind to be able to start fresh, and to also take the time to appreciate how far I have come. I will say that this self reflection has become so much more satisfying than waiting for the likes on social media.

A celebratory dinner with my girl friends! It's great to share this moment with friends who've been supportive throughout my career ups and downs. We always talk a moment to reflect, laugh, and maybe even cry about how far we've come and use that as a reminder of how far we can go.

I usually buy a fancy bottle of champagne or go to a nice meal. I also try and do the same for my partner when he has a big work success, and I like to send my close friend cards when they get promoted, start a new job, etc. We should all celebrate these things more!

Easy: I treat myself to a mani/pedi. Nothing crazy but I love it.
