Career makeover process?

Hello All, So I'm at a place where I'm wanting a career makeover. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a great process to use any books or websites then have a good process to follow that you have had success with?

Hi Teresa, in my book, Job Hunting. Now What? Keeping it Real in the Modern Career Search, I discuss leveraging your soft and transferrable skills to obtain your next opportunity. Properly highlighted these can help you navigate to your destination. Good luck!

Hi, I'm looking for a full-time permanent position near where I live in a mid-size company primarily handling project coordination, invoicing and procurement skills. I I'm currently in a one-year contract but before this I was permanent at two places for over 11 years. Makes a difference being permanent in my experience. I don't feel valued in my current role in my current team and feel there's so much more that I can do maybe just not on this team

Teresa, I agree that a permanent job is much better than a contract arrangement. (I’ve done both.) It sounds like you are aiming for a job that leverages your current and recent experience. That sounds very do-able. Job boards I’d suggest: -LinkedIn Jobs (matches jobs to your profile) -Indeed -GlassDoor Because you specialize in administrative functions that all businesses perform, you might want to research companies in your area and directly apply to those that interest you. In addition, see if there are any agencies in your area that recruit for administrative personnel and submit your resume to them.
