Moms- when does it get easier?

People keep saying don't worry, it gets easier (when it comes to having kids). My question is when? What turning points made raising a child/children easier for you? Getting baby to sleep through the night was a huge milestone for me and definitely made life a lot easier!

TWO! Haha... For me, I feel like two was the magic age for both of my children. There are still difficulties (they are 6 & 3 and have a LOT of emotions), but overall everyone sleeps through the night and they don't get sick nearly as often. They still fight like sisters, though, but they also play together (which is such a blessing). But for me 2 was magic because they can speak and explain to you how they are feeling. Also, like I said, they finally seem to have their immune system built up and don't get sick every 5 mins. Again, there are different difficulties as they get older, but it really helps when they learn how to SLEEP! Best of luck! The little years are exhausting.

Parenting, I'm afraid, never gets easier. Each year there is another part of life that makes it hard. Getting through the infant stage and sleeping through the night - awesome. Then you're on to teething and back up at night. Before you know it, they are 9 and it's harder than you ever imagined - but worth it more than anything in the world. It's always hard but it's always worthwhile. For the record, age 3 and 9 are the worst so far! lol!

Thanks for the input! What's been difficult about 3 and 9?

Congrats on having your baby sleep through the night! That's seriously a big deal. Because... sleep... and sanity :) I wish I could say there is a moment where things get easier but it just does. I think it's certain things like you just mentioned -- when your baby ends up sleeping through the night and or later when your toddler is actually able to communicate thoughts... It varies overtime.
