I have been working in the same office for 13 years - longer than anyone else, including my supervisors. Our company is 20 years old and I have been here for over half the time.
I have trained every single office person that we have hired over the years. I respect others, I am open to learning, I never hesitate to offer help --- I have no issues admitting when I make a mistake ---I am truly an employee that goes above and beyond for internal and external customers.
I feel invested in this company -- I've helped build it. Yet I am not respected by my co-workers. I haven't had a raise in three years and, after doing some research, I have discovered that I am being paid embarrassingly less than the industry standard. Unqualified co-workers constantly criticize and undermine me.
I don't want to leave my job -- but I am unhappy and I just can't accept being unhappy somewhere I spend so much time. I don't know what to do.
