How does everyone feel about camping?

Some people love it, some people hate it. I have not been since I was a child, but some of my good friends are camping soon and I am trying to decide whether to go or not!

I love it! I camp as much as I can...but it does take some time to determine what sort of setup you need to be able to enjoy it! If you go and aren't a big fan, look for things that would make you enjoy it more! Examples: -My friends all camped out at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and we brought ingredients to make a delicious noodle dish in a pot over the campfire. It was a fun activity to do together -Family and friends camped in New Zealand together and we made fresh coffee in the mornings -I always bring bugspray and sunscreen so I don't have to worry about nature bringing me down (but shower/wipe it of before jumping in the water - bugspray is not good for the lakes, especially small ones!) -With the right company, we bring cards for euchre or pinochle (insert your favorite game here instead) -Camping with just my husband, we bring books or drawing supplies -Get your sleeping pad / sleeping bag / whatever arrangement down to something you actually like sleeping on!

Dislike it. My husband jokes that my idea of camping is a 3 star hotel. ? I’m essentially an indoor person. I don’t hike. I don’t camp. I don’t do any “outdoorsy” things. My preferred activities tend to happen indoors, like theater, music, reading, drinking coffee, etc. That said, I’ve gone camping a couple of times in ideal circumstances and enjoyed it. (Real bathrooms nearby, only 2 nights, excellent weather) If it were raining, game over.

I love it! And I was never a fan of it growing up, but getting to escape the noise of my apartment and being able to see the stars at night has made me come to love camping.
