Exploratory Interview with Facebook -- tips?

Hey boss ladies, this week I have an exploratory interview with Facebook and I am reaching out to you to ask for advice/tips on how to best ace this interview. I was referred to Facebook by a friend for a specific position but they told me this position was give to someone else, however, they still wanted to talk to me. Any insights? Please send over. Thank you all.

I previously worked for a big company that had the policy that they must complete a set amount of interviews each month, regardless as to whether they had open positions or not. So a lot of months people were interviewing for jobs that they thought were available but were not. They said that it allowed them to have qualified candidates that they could call on if they needed more staff, but I don't know how many they actually called back. Just something to keep in mind.

I just watched a great AMA with a recruiter from Facebook the other day. His advice and insights: • you'll need to meet the specific minimum qualifications for any role (if that role is open, it is because they have very specific needs in mind • be prepared to talk about how you've driven product vision and development, if that applies to your desired role • referrals are KEY at Facebook • be intentional • focus on your impact • tell a good story • key traits they look for: "Driven" "Quantifiable expertise" "Empathy" "Flexibility"

You're invited.
