My first response to this post is ... Why?
Why would I block my manager on LinkedIn? Unless I had a pretty contenious relationship with my manager, I can't see why I would block my manager, and if I had a contenious relationship with my manager, what do I gain by blocking them?
I might block a co-worker who I did not get along with, but then again, why? What do I gain by blocking a co-worker from my LinkedIn profile?
Perhaps I don't understand the underlying issue.
