Expenses while working from home - what is your employer covering?
We have been work from home since March, this will continue through June 2021. We received a 1 time payment of $250 to cover the expenses of working from home. The company is providing laptops to employees and the $250 can be used to buy keyboards, desks, printers, etc.
As we get further into the year, I am incurring more costs such as printer ink, adding international calling to my mobile so I can contact people for business, upgrading our home wi-fi, buying a desk and chair.
Curious what other medium sized employers are doing. We have 485 employees, all within our state. The pandemic has been tough on our business as we rely heavily on conferences & colleges for our revenue and both are not buying our products.
My husband's 1000 person national engineering firm offered $500 per employee and allowed things like monitors and keyboards to be taken home.
