Did you know that you tell yourself stories all day long?
Some are true and some are flat out lies.
We make up stories to feel better and stories to make us feel like crap. Oftentimes this is done unconsciously, but here’s the problem. As we tell ourselves these stories, we start to believe them as the truth.
What stories are you telling yourself that might not be true?
--That you can’t change jobs because you’re too old
--That you don’t have the experience to do something different
--That you aren’t educated enough to do your dream job
--That you’ll never be able to escape the 9-5
--That you don’t have the time, energy, or money to transition careers
Yep, these are all just stories you’ve made up. But guess what!? You can change your story.
Start telling yourself the opposite of what you are now and see what happens. You *might* just start to believe yourself. Wouldn’t that be wild!
