After almost three years of brutal unemployment, I have taken a job far down, if not off the ladder.
Senior Project Manager to Housekeeper at a local Inn & Suites par time. I also have an interview with a major insurance entity for a customer advocate 1 position, which is full time and benefits. I live in anti-silicon valley and have worked remotely since '12. These are my first onsite jobs. I will quit the housekeeping job, though I will probably like it better as it seems like unplugging from the corporate rollercoaster.
Is there any chance of getting to the top of the ladder again after falling so far down? Remote positions, even for Jr. PC positions have become so competitive. Will me actually working look better on my resume, even though it is a long step down?

Hello. Kudos for finding a job - an honest living is an honest living-PERIOD. Keep an eye open while you work and get a mental break from your previous role in corporate. The interview may shift you into a different area where you can use ALL of your skills and knowledge. I refuse to give up and always try to encourage others in this market - IT IS BRUTAL. Good Luck ?

I will like to no a question from everyone okay this is the question when your manager comes to you while you’re working in say hey how are you and hey you’re so quiet.Okay I’m not that quiet I do come to work and speak to everyone and try to interact with people just basic communication I try to get along with whoever that’s kind and seems like you can talk to sometimes at work I smile a lot and fully laughable with anyone honestly I’m just trying to understand why will she just come out the blue in say that to me is I’m just overly thinking are can it be something she’s trying to tell me or say I have to say yes I’m a little quiet in to myself at work on my job why because I don’t try to go to work to just set up In have fun all day I like to come in work and just get to it my job in clock out not trying to be rude towards anyone I’m just that type of person
