New employer changing position details after accepting offer, how do I get what I was offered?

I recently accepted a work from home position with a new company. When the internal recruiter presented the job offer, she told me I would be reporting to a local team within my city (when I interviewed, I was told the company does have several offices around the
country and my offer could be from any of those teams). She also went over what my potential schedule would be.
Yesterday I received instructions and details for my first day. The supervisor who emailed me is from an out-of-state location and the schedule is much different than what I agreed to.
While the position is work from home, it was important for me to make connections with the local team for future growth opportunities.
Another colleague hired after me for the same role is still assigned with a group to report to the same supervisor with the schedule I was originally offered.
How do I handle this situation?

Five years ago today, I filed for unemployment compensation.
It was one of the hardest things I've done, professionally. I had been let go with very little warning by a supervisor who just couldn't be pleased. The organization offered no constructive feedback, no mentoring, and no work/life balance. The days immediately after that were a mix of fear and relief that I was out of that awful environment. I won't lie. I spent six very hard, discouraging months looking for a role and being rejected before I took a "survival job." I spent about 18 months there until a position in the agency where I had always wanted to work opened. I got it and just celebrated my third anniversary here. I've even been promoted and am now in the position I wanted most. I shared this in the hope that someone who is facing the same thing right now will read it and know that things won't always be as hard as they are today. In the meantime, take care of yourself and your family, and remember that work is what you do, not who you are. You are worthy and valuable, no matter where you do (or don't) work.

Question for employers, hiring managers, recruiters, and those in charge of conducting job interviews: would you ever consider implementing any of the following practices when preparing to schedule an interview?
• Providing the questions you intend to ask the applicant in advance so that they have time to prepare
• Allowing the applicant to choose which interview format they prefer (phone call, video call, video call platform with camera off, etc.)
If not, why not? Trying to gather information for a research project.

It has been so long since I posted, but I started college this year at the age of 26.
I will say it is hard being a full time student and full time employee, but I am so proud of myself!
