Seeking some input...

I got a permanent job offer from former company I worked 7 years ago for 7+years. It's a good offer. I quit the company due to personal reasons. After 4 years of break, I joined competitor and worked for 4+ years and left them recently to take the contractor position as Program Manager in different industry and IT space. It's been a month only since I made this move. I am doing well and appreciated and treated like employee. I went back and forth before applying but wanted to be open and applied. Now I have mixed feelings and struggling to decide. Former employer offer +Perm Job with full benefit, money on par or little more than my current +/-Job is in new team to set strategy, challenging and high visibility +/- Can work in office and see team members F2F. Tied physically to head office location 12 hrs from family -Go back to the same industry, then pretty much work for next 8 to 9 years to retirement +/- Known friends and folks who have grown up the ladder, feels weird going back My Current contractor role +Good start, really like my manager and business director +Potential to convert to full-time and grow as a leader +/- Virtual and can be located anywhere; however I am ready for human interaction -/+Challenging dealing with contractor BA's not of good quality. But management open to hire right people and take action Thanks in advance for reading and sharing your views.
