Hi there. As a person with a buncha degrees in writing (two specializing in nonfiction), these are not productive questions at this point in the journey.
As others have said, first, tell your story. Word count doesn't matter at this point. Just write it.
Do you have any experience or background in writing? If not, suggest taking some classes and reading some books about writing creative nonfiction or memoir. I recommend Tell It Slant by Brenda Miller and Suzanne Paola for one. Stephen King's book,
On Writing, would be a good one for you to read, too.
Next, what is your goal? Are you writing it just to get it out of you? Are you planning to self-publish or seek a traditional publisher? How to proceed after you have a draft will be different depending on your answer to that question.
Good luck! Writing is harder than it looks, especially continuing to work in the echo chamber of your own mind.
