Why do entry level jobs require 2+ years of experience?
I've been searching for jobs and it seems that non-entry level jobs want a minimum of 5 years of experience but entry level jobs require at least 2-5. I don't understand. This is the same frustration I felt when I graduated from college and I feel like I'm 22 years old all over again. I have experience, but somehow I feel like it never counts. It's never enough.
Would any recruiters be able to shed light on this? How does one land an entry level job (or even change careers) if their experience is never "enough"? (Or if they lack it?)
