Looking for opportunities in the NGO/IGO/any bodies related to Women Empowerment/Gender Issues/Human's Right

I am a graduate of International Relations who has a high interest in research, particularly regarding gender issues and women rights studies. It's been almost a year that i have not gotten any job yet. After thousands of trials applying here and there, no one reply me back. I have bunch of experience, such as work, organisation, project/events, and volunteer. I also have several achievements. My gpa is 3.84 out of 4.00. Thus, it makes me confuse what's wrong with me? People said get lots of experience because it can become an asset for you, so that you will get hired sooner than others. But what i feel that it seems those asset that i have, haven't help to get me to any point till now. I hope, besides sharing my ideas and getting to know other ideas in this community, this platform also can connect me to people who might have any information about open opportunity in careers. If anyone has any informations to share, please let me know. I am very looking forward to any open vacancy or opportunity in the field that i am very passionate about. Thank you :)

Nadia- first congratulations on getting your masters degree and wanting to work in the NGO field with a focus on gender studies and women's issues. People with your background are necessary in international work. I can't tell from your posting whether you have had any overseas work experience in international development . Are you looking for overseas work or policy work? I'd suggest a couple of things not knowing the answers to those quesitons. Through your university have you used your career office to identify alums who work in the field? If not, I recommend that as a starting point- reach out to them and hold a call/Zoom or whatever to find out how they got started. Ask them for two or three other people to whom they would introduce you for more 'coffee' chats. and build out your network by talking with those folks. Check the job board at InterAction, an association of international development organizations and consider joining the Society of International Development (SID) and work on the gender working group. Happy to 'talk' more if it is helpful as these are just initial thoughts not knowing much of what your experience is or your networking.

Hi, Sarah. Thank you so much for getting back to me with the informations. Actually, i am a fresh graduate, however i have had enough experience. Yes, i am actually looking for overseas work, due to the limited opportunity in Indonesia that related to gender study or women's rights field. I have had ask several alumni but none of them can give any helpful clue or informations. Thus, as i am getting desperate on looking for jobs, i hope i can get some recommendations or suggestions through this platform. I would very happy to talk more about what you have in your mind or what you know that you want to suggest it to me. Please let me know how can i reach you out to talk more about this :)

WorldPulse.org is an amazing, international platform for women’s voice and empowerment. Jensine, CEO, is an absolute goddess herself. I met her at a girls’ education conference at the UN in NYC. She is very approachable. I recommend joining to connect with likeminded people, who are there to raise each other up. You can find volunteer positions, connect to local and international women. Consider it a sister to this space. The more connections you make the closer you will get to a paid position.
