FGB'ers, we're so thankful for all of the wonderful advice, positivity and experiences you've shared with our community in 2020. It's been so wonderful to see how you've supported and uplifted one another — especially during such a difficult year.
We've gotten through this together because of your support and kindness, and for that, you deserve the biggest shout-out. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Help us pay the positivity forward by sharing how other FGB'ers have helped you this year — whether it was giving interview advice, tips on how to navigate a new role or some encouragement when you needed it most.

I loved my job and it was getting me through some very difficult day-to-day personal struggles but then my boss retired and was replaced by a very toxic person who removed me from projects where I was getting great feedback from global department heads immediately. It made my daily life so incredibly difficult and the community gave me the advice and support so that I somehow made it to another job.

I have had a real fear of putting my picture on line because of some things that were said to me in a past at another job. I got a real eye opening response about this that helped me start to get over some of this fear.

I think FGB has helped me realize that a lot of my struggles career-wise aren't necessarily unique and that I'm not alone. It helps tremendously knowing people can relate.

This had been a wonderful support to help myself and friends through all this uncharted water of how to do all this remotely!

Love this, Crystal! When the pandemic first hit, especially, I found the Navigating the New Normal group provided some much-needed laughs.

Being on this site has been so encouraging for me as others helped me through my out of work period. I am very thankful for the advice I have received that steered me toward getting a new job. So I am doing my best to pay it forward by offering advice where I can share from my experience.
You never know how your own experiences whether good or bad can help someone else get through tough times. I believe in helping others and this is a good platform to do just that.

Well, said Sharon - sometimes something we may think is insignificant can make for an eye-opener or be very impactful to someone else. Maybe just what they need to hear at that precise moment!

FGB has given me confidence a sense of thoughtfulness and to show kindness to others. To share my experiences with the ups and downs and not feeling you are the only one struggling. Being able to share advise or lending a shoulder to lean on. It warms my heart that maybe I have helped someone that is seeking guidance. <3

Earlier this year I started a new job, leaving a very unhealthy environment in the old one. When I was lost and felt like I wasn't good at anything, this community gave information, ideas, tips, shared experiences, and support--not just to me but to each other. I recommend this site to any women I know are looking for a new job (mainly for the support) and for those I think would benefit from something a little more intimate than LinkedIn.
