I have been interviewing with a company since mid-November. I've successfully gone through several rounds of interviews and my references have been checked. Right before the holidays, my potential direct supervisor called me to let me know that he wasn't exactly sure when they would be able to bring me since the company was still in the midst of finalizing projects in the new year.
The supervisor contacted me again on January 8 to let me know he would circle back with an update the week of January 18th.
I sense that he is being really proactive about staying in touch, but nothing has actually been offered to me yet (they haven't even clearly stated if they would be able to meet my salary expectations). Am I being strung along here? Is this a red flag, maybe indicating a bad working/professional environment? Would love feedback from you all - thanks!
