Good girl?

Why do folks always assume that others are out to get them with passive aggressive maneuvers? I ask you, does assuming the worst of the someone escalate or deescalate the situation? I say “assume” because we have no data to state the bosses intent and character. in fact, a Forbes article says: “Most people won’t admit it, but we size up other people’s characters all the time.
