Did you know that you don't have to sit and be still and not think to meditate? There are so many things that we do that are meditative. When you meditate it's simply means that you are taking your time to do something and you are focused on that one thing and nothing else. Washing dishes can be a meditative experience if you allow it. A lot of times we have a task list and the day seems like a race to the end. But if we fill our day with less unnecessary tasks, and learn to say NO, you will find that The things that you must do become more bearable. I practice a form of active meditation called Qigong. There are other people who take time out to go to the gym alone and they meditate on the elliptical. Some simply garden or do crafts. The point is that they are doing this activity alone and they are focused on only that one thing.so the next time you have a hard time with meditation, let yourself off the hook.
