I'm in the final stages of possibly landing a job at a phenomenal company out of state, in an area I'd love to move to. My SO and I would rent out there but we need to sell our house first. His job is flexible so no issue there and we don't have kids. Luckily we live in a desirable area where the houses…

Since then, I’ve been actively applying for jobs but rarely hear back. When asked why I’m looking for a new job in interviews, I haven’t always been sincere, giving different reasons. Recently, I decided to be upfront and told an interviewer that I was made redundant. But their response thre…

Hello Sue, I've seen and also heard of how females are treated differently when they reach this stage of maturity.
Luckily, I did not have to deal with this challenge, but have been in a place where I've had to help others who were in that place, or were managing team members who at the point in their lives.
I agree with one commenter here, that there is true and present danger of mature females being side-lined in their careers because of a natural feminine challege, because I have seen it happen, and this is especially, and moreso most frequently occurring in larger organizations.
While I don't know how to effect the sweeping change women need in this regard, I do know that it needs, and will only take legislation and national focus for this challege to be taken seriously, and to prevent discrimination against the millions in the USA who are, and will in the future be dealing with this challenge.
I have actually been privy to a discussion where a male leader asked other directors for advice to "deal with a member of his team who constantly needed to be in the doorway of walk-in freezer, and who was always letting out the cool air from other refrigerators by standing with the door open." It didn't feel like he asked for advice with the aim to really help her, because he proceeded to laugh and said something that amounted to it's "supposedly" because she's going through the change, which he didn't believe was "really a bid deal."
Unfortunately, even inexperienced female leaders can be insensitive about the challenge as well. I've also witness that happening in more than one work places.
Until this female challenge is recognized and accommodated in the workplace as a form of disability, and until that sweeing legal change happens for females everywhere, I can only continue to share what I was introduced to over 6 years ago in 2017 which actually works
It is a non-invasive, simple, private, litte-effort solution that naturally regulates the hormones that choose to do their own thing. The solution has helped thousands (if not millions) of women (myself included), in several countries across the world, but unfortunately, it is mostly unknown/unheard-of by most people.
For those for whom it works, it is as simple using a specific kind of feminine item (a pantiliner) *specifically infused with negative ions* each day. Over the years the cost has gone up, but still it literally now costs less than $0.40 per day, and is avaliable online.
It improves the daily existence of the females who use it, as well as the people who interact with these former "sweaty people eaters" (as another person rudely referred to a female leader he worked with).
I repeat, until an unless legislation is passed to prevent discrimination on the grounds of menopausal symptoms, mature females will continue to struggle in the workplace with facing negative reactions toward this medical condition.

I was one of the lucky ones and didn’t have it too bad. I’m curious how receptive companies have been to your trainings?
I am also worried that after fighting so long for equal opportunity and to close the wage gap if fighting for menopausal accommodation just makes the conversation more difficult as some will see it as another reason to not hire women or promote them or pay them equally?
