Legit UX Design Bootcamps?

posted this recently but only got two responses which I’m grateful for, but more feedback is always better. :) “Hi, beautiful sisters! I need help deciding what UX/UI coding Bootcamp to go with. I desperately need a career change! It's not even about the money; it's about me not being able to express my creativity in my retail manager role. + 0 opportunities for growth within the company. I narrowed it down to bloc.io, but former students have said that I won't have a great portfolio at the end of the eight months. I live in Venice, CA if anyone wants to connect. I’m looking for a more creative job until I finish the Bootcamp. Very grateful for your advice or guidance!” Since then, I discovered CareerFoundry.com and Springboard.com. Has anyone heard of this UX Design courses? Sending Love and Light, Alexandra

Is your focus UX, UI, or coding? You mention all three.

Hi Barb! Thank you for your answer. I came across GA, but they are on the pricier side.

I am not a UI designer but I have hired a few contractors who have been trained through General Assembly (https://generalassemb.ly). The contractors I hired where talented and I would not hesitate to hire someone with a General Assembly background again. I can not speak to GA's locations, placement rate or costs. I'll let you investigate that is you wish. They offer evening meetups and sometimes online day-long classes for a reasonable(or not reasonable depending on your financial situation) price ($250) and you might want to try one of those options to see if you like them. https://generalassemb.ly/

Won't say I'm an expert! I know CareerFoundry has a job placement guarantee which is pretty awesome. Excellent placement rate at really esteemed companies. I get ads from springboard but haven't heard as much about them. Good luck!! I've always been super in UX design - but I don't quite have the design skills needed so I haven't taken the plunge. Wish there were more opportunities for UX research out there. I'd love that!
