Phone interview greeting

Just curious! When someone calls you for a phone interview, how do you typically pick up the phone? A basic "hello"? Or do you say your name? Or something else?

I say "Hi, this is Becky," in a pretty casual way.

Anything vaguely professional or polite will do. That said, I always answer "Hello, this is Johanna." That spares us the "I am looking for..." roundabout. Also, people often pronounce my name wrong, so I like to be the first one to do it in a conversation. Then I'll know if they were paying attention by how they pronounce my name later.

I say “Hello, good morning/afternoon/evening” to any number I don’t immediately recognize. It feels strange to me to announce my name, but I still want to be polite and professional. This would apply to phone interviews too.

For what it's worth, I've recruited for the last seven years and I don't believe the initial greeting of a candidate has ever impacted my overall sentiment of any phone interview unless it was unnecessarily aggressive, which it has been once or twice!
