Advice? I had an allergic reaction to my current moisturizer and I’m on the hunt to find a new one.

Now that I’m used to wearing moisturizer, I can’t just stop. It’s so amazing for my skin but I’ve run into an allergy predicament and want to find another go-to product. What moisturizer brands are you using right?

Ogx coconut and coffee has been a dream for me. I have to use goats milk or castile soaps and am very cautious of mousturizers. I have had no issues w ogx and the best is its lasting several fays b4 reapplication. Totally feel your pain on the allergic reaction!

I agree with JolieK, cetaphil is indeed a good one. But before using any product you should know your skin type, this is the reason why we get allergies. In any case, if you don't know that, then always go for a moisturizer for combination skin. The creams I would suggest - 1. Neutrogena hydro boost water gel(20$), (tried by me) 2. Tatcha, The water cream (68$) (not tried) 3. GARNIER MOISTURE RESCUE REFRESHING GEL CREAM(6$) (tried by me) 4. Aloe vera 92% soothing gel by Nature republic (7$). This is my all time favorite. Any type of sun rashes, allergies on skin, this aloe vera soothes everything. Home made moisturizer- One night routine that I include during winters is, I mix half glycerine, with half rose water and half a lime juice. Apply it daily at night after face wash, sleep, you will wake up with soft and bright skin evrey morning. You can apply this on your hands, feet, lips and face.

I use cetaphil (their facial moisturizer). Very basic and simple but I love it.

Go to www.mybutterbar.com, All products are 100% natural and may be a better alternative for you. The owner and estheticians are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are located in Houston Texas and have a spa as well. If you're close, you should visit.

If you have allergies to anything, it is likely the parabens or 'unclean' ingredients, and it would take a scientist to decipher the list of most products. Natural ingredients rarely cause reactions, and unfortunately the beauty industry is adept at hiding ingredients behind alternative names, and confusing consumers with the science (or claiming mystery magical properties), then jacking up the cost. We equate cost with quality, which is not right. Look for companies that base their business on natural ingredients and don't promote too big, which is the driver for mass production and unsafe ingredients that won't expire. Some great brands for both face care and makeup you can order online: Osmosis, Revitalash, LaBella Donna, OCosmedics, and AQ. These are effective, reputable, but natural product-based companies without hidden agendas. Note that the big rage over Korean face care is scary-- there is no regulation over what ingredients are listed so places like Sephora will just tell you it works and it is magical without any real data or ingredients that you can count on. Boutique and high-end products don't need to cost a lot, and you don't have to buy from Barneys to win.

Kiehl’s ultra facial moisturizer is my favorite. You can purchase with or without SPF. Good luck!
