Looking for a little advice

I feel like i am in a rut... I've been at the same place for over 4 years and i don't feel like i'm going anywhere at all. Can anyone offer some career advice or help point me in the right direction?

Sorry you're feeling this way. Can you share a little more about your background and if that's the type of career you'd like to continue moving forward?

I'd really try to distinguish between being in a rut because you work at the same company vs. being in the same role. In many cases, sometimes the easiest and best move to make if you like your work environment / culture and company is to just to ask for a promotion or make a lateral move if you're not feeling challenged by your current position. If its, however, the company and employer that you think offers no growth then if you can take the risk, I'd start putting my feelers out there for other job opportunities. You can always test the market to see what it yields before making any changes. Good luck!

I feel like this is a great time to just write yourself a letter... but write it from you "one year from now". Recap the year for yourself and list out the 3 things you got done in 2020 that you're most proud of. Don't overthink it and don't put too much thought into it. Give yourself five minutes and just bang out that note. See what it says! I'm excited for you!
