What people don’t know about being a Pharmacist.

So, I’m a Pharmacist. I immediately started making a top-dollar salary straight out of school which was a $121K annual salary. I’m no 8 years in and my annual salary is $123K. What’s interesting in this industry is that you make a lot to begin with but the potential to significantly boost paychecks later on are slim. I’d be lucky to get a $10K salary increase within 15-20 years of starting. So the gratification of raises don’t really happen.

I didn't realize! I guess if you're making that money to start out, it makes sense. People can only be paid so much. But I love the feeling of earning a raise.. That'd be hard to never really get the gratification.

well i feel like 121K is not that much tbh given that to become a pharmacist, one has to go to school for 4 extra years on top of undergrad. (AND pay for that extra 4 years of schooling!)
