I recently interviewed for something that really wasn't a match for me, although we had a good vibe in the room. They also wanted relocation across the country, which I'm not ready to do. I sent a "no thanks" note - thanking them for their time but indicating that I was not interested in relocating, so they could focus their search on local candidates. I never heard back from them, which was surprising given the aforementioned vibe in the room. But maybe it wasn't surprising, given that I was turning down a chance to be considered for a job they hadn't offered me. Does anyone else have experience having said "no thanks" to a job in the interview stage? Did the organization or company you interviewed with send you a response?
