How do you make time for lunch?

I'm a teacher who's always on the go whether it's teaching the class, printing and prepping for lessons, supervising recess and lunch, or at a meeting. All that being said, I struggle with making time for lunch. Even when I do get preps, they only last about 45 minutes and by then, I might need to make personal calls or score student work. Any suggestions for how I can make time for a meal mid-workday? To my ladies with the super busy work schedules, how do you do it?

At the desk most days. I enjoy the time constraint that helps me avoid snacking! Smoothies are another fave - simplegreensmoothies.com has some free recipes that are chock full of nutrition from whole foods - but I love the ones with some sort of greens, hemp/flax, fruit, yogurt - they leave me full and are quick to make and eat, well, drink I guess ;)

So, this may not be exactly what you're looking for, but I fully embrace working lunches. Almost every day, I take lunch at my desk and continue doing what I was doing. It's not ideal, but it also helps me stay on top of my tasks and not feel woozy the rest of the day. Right now, my job puts me in the office probably 70% of the time, so it's a lot like your prep time in so far as I may need to make a phone call or work on a report, but that's feasible while eating. The other 30% of my job requires me to be in the field on a client site. It's very rare that I spend any of the day sitting aside for the time I'm on the train or otherwise in transit, so on those days I'll be sure to pack small snacks that I can sneak once I begin to get peckish. I'd imagine that you would be able to do this kind of thing when supervising lunch or recess? Snacking on a protein bar while standing on the playground isn't going to distract you enough that you wouldn't still be able to perform your duties. Again, not ideal, but much better than going a whole day without eating!
