LinkedIn Sales and Solicitation

I tend to connect with as many people on LinkedIn as possible, especially as you never know who you may need to reach out to in the future. Lately, I've been inundated with people wanting to connect then automatically trying to sell me a service, idea, etc. I get this may be someone's job but it mostly makes me want to remove them as a connection immediately. Thoughts on this? What do you do in this situation?

If I don’t know a person, I do not accept the request. If I get an unsolicited message, I don’t reply.

If I don't actively know the person, I block them. If I do know them, I inform them to cease solicitations to me. From there, I'd either: A] block them after another pitch/offer if their connection is not super intrigal to my status, goals, etc.; or B] just ignore them if I really need to maintain that connection for professional reasons.

I’ve had this and I’ve had people hit on me. In both cases I remove them as a connection. In certain cases I will actually report them to linked in.

I definitely remove people who seem to connect simply to sell me something. Sometimes I'll overlook it if I think they are involved in something that may be of interest to me in the future, but it also depends on how pushy they are.
