What do you do when you find a colleague makes more than you?
I recently found out that my colleague, who has the same title as me and who was hired three months after me, is making almost $20k more than me. She has her masters, while I don't, but I have much more work experience.
I approached my supervisor and asked why there is such a discrepancy, and he said her salary is based on the salary she had at her previous position in another company.
I'm happy with the job, and I'm happy with the compensation. But seeing how much more she makes than me, for the exact same work, is really demoralizing. I have a review in two months and plan on asking for a compensation review at that point, but I feel like I should be doing more
What should I do, besides wait for this review and see how it pans out?
