I've been with my organization for 4 and a half years. During that time, I have managed and successfully implemented several high value projects. I've received kudos from the government client on numerous occasions and I've become respected for the fact that I get things done. I've helped to provide training and guidance to several colleagues as well. My issue and frustration lies with my leadership team. I've asked for promotions based on my performance and all I'm told is that they have to wait until the Aug/September period to request it. That timeframe has come and gone and nothing has happened. What's even more frustrating is that another individual was hired to perform part of my duties and he has no clue what he is doing. So once again, I'm requested to help someone who has the position that I wanted and is being paid more than I do.
I am disappointed and frustrated and I am actively looking at opportunities elsewhere. Should I be patient? Should I broach the subject again with my superiors or just leave when another opportunity pops up?
Thank you all for your advice and time.
