I'm in the midst of a career change and have been taking a lot of personality tests to get a better idea of what types of careers are best suited for me. According to the Myers-Briggs test I'm an INFP. This personality type makes up for 5% of the population and is extremely rare. Careers like actor, writer, singer, art director, fashion designer, interior designer keep showing up over and over. And while I would love to have any one of those jobs I don't see any of them as being practical. It seems like they're only careers when and if you were to hit it big. There are so many factors that go into making those types of "careers" lucrative. I would love some motivation or words of wisdom from a fellow creative who has made a career work for them. Much appreciated!
