Response to the R. Kelly docu-series has made me upset. How to cope?

If you've watched the R. Kelly docuseries on Lifetime, you know that it chronicles R. Kelly's series of abuses of young women and girls (I say girls because they were young teens or sometimes not even teens at the time of the abuse). However, I've seen a lot of people in my feeds/in my personal life who continue to make excuses for his behavior. And at a larger scale, his streaming numbers have actually gone UP since the docu-series came out. This is pretty upsetting given it's a clear example of a man who abuses his power being excused due to archaic ideas of consent/power dynamics. How do you cope with being upset by men like this getting passes over and over again? I know that this docuseries HAS done good. There have been more calls to hotlines for survivors, people have been educated, and powerful people have come out against him.... but still. Thoughts?
