Begging a 2 year old is a big milestone but as a mom, I sometimes lose it. I barely get things done for myself as there's always some interruption in the background. So here I am, a mom of 5 year old girl and a 2 year old boy and that's how my story starts!
My girl is super polite, gentle, and responsible. She's been always that way!
My boy is aggressive, destructive, and stuborn.
I take my 2 year old boy to different classes such as gymnastics, movement for toddlers, etc. He's not much into playing with other kids and not at all up for sharing toys like fire trucks, garbage trucks, backhoe, train, school bus, and dump trucks. If any kids try to get any of these toys off his hand, he'lljust grab their face as soon as they'll get close to him.
I was super frustrated as a mom and had a train of apologies waiting one after another. Some moms understood and some just rolled their eyes and walked off. I was sure I was not the only one out there with this scenario. I started twerking my approach. Instead of giving the attention to my 2 year old and raising my voice, I reached out to that kid and sympathized with her/ him. I paid full attention to the victim and I noticed a big change coming my way. My toddler couldn't get false attention from me anymore. His mindset shifted so quickly and I suddenly noticed the change in his behavior.
It requires lots of repetition and consistency for this age group to finally get what parents want them to get.
I remind my 2 year old everyday to be gentle and nice with other kids. To create a positive environment, I encourage his good behavior every time . All 2 year olds love to be praised ! Now give this quick tip a try and share your stories with me. I would love to hear from you all!

Should I Include Self-Employed Job Searcher on My Resume?
Everyone says it is better to have a job than not when searching for a new opportunity. I am unemployed since August 2023 and am working full time to find that next opportunity. If I go back to an office job, it will seriously cut my time spend searching for a new job.
Does it make sense to list my job search as a job on my resume? This is a full-time job, even more so than when I was working. There are a lot of things that go into job searching as well. What do you think?

Got laid off after complaining to HR
i had issues with my lead like unnecessary touching me and comments like I like you I really like you while all blushing red. After my HR complaint my managers attitude towards me changed and I didn’t look out for a job because I was too lazy to start a new job. And also because I had issues going on at home front. And now at the next layoff 8-10 percent lay off my manger laid me off. I really can’t do anything just makes me mad that the lead who is so creepy didn’t get laid off. Now I am nervous about starting any job. In my tech world it’s so male dominated. I do have 10 years experience where I had no issues. Then I took a few years break and joined back to work and had this creepy lead. Looking for advice to overcome this anxiety.

Anybody know about proving discrimination in the workplace?
I know that what I have experienced is discrimination (race and age) but need to prove it.
Here are the main points:
I was treated differently from other similarly situated employees. I was held to a higher performance standard while the others got away with everything.
I was blamed for others falling short when we are similarly situated.
I’ve heard racial epithets in the hallway as well as received an email from an executive indicating that they would not hire someone over 60.
I was excluded from leadership conferences, trainings for new employees (when I was the leader of that function).
Company promoted someone after 1 year when it took 6 years for me to get promoted to a management role. Person who got promoted was of a different race and 20 years younger. I was fully capable of doing the job as I received high performance evaluations, and was never asked nor was the position advertised.
My responsibilities have been decreased and reassigned.
I have a plethora of emails from my supervisor and another executive that constitutes harassing and demeaning behavior by them. They were all intentional to impose emotional distress on me.
I have been othered, excluded, bullied, and abused (via email) on a consistent basis.
They have fabricated information about me (in the written form) - defamation and libel.
To sum it up, I have been targeted since 8/2022 when our new COO came on board. He was in cahoots with the HR Manager to get me out of the company. Both lack integrity and I have caught both of them in major lies. The latest was when the HR Manager went to the COO to give notice when she said she found a job. The COO asked her for proof and she fabricated an offer letter from another company and received a $20k raise!
The company was never like this until we got a new HR Manager and COO who are obviously bad apples and are bringing a good company down with their unethical behavior.
I recently resigned from the company as I could not work in such a horrible environment.
I have an appointment to meet with an employment attorney.
Any insights or thoughts would be helpful.

I’ve accepted my first manager position.
I recently took a new role as a Human Resources Manager overseeing recruitment and retention. I don’t have any direct reports but the first role I’ve held with a “manager” title. I will be responsible for engaging with over 300 employees and I am looking for any advice for someone just starting out. I have worked in recruitment for several years and oversaw various employee engagement initiatives, but I have not had to implement them from beginning to end such as bonus programs, recognition programs, stay-interviews, etc. I am just looking for any advice for a first time manager!
