Waiting to catch a flight post chairing a global conference, I was approached by someone who'd been there. We discussed content & comment.
Then he said this: "You shouldn't have worn a dress."
Because - he went on to say - my legs were 'distracting'.
His point was that I have a brilliant brain, but my legs took away focus/ attention.
My knees weren't showing. Nor was a single bit of 'body' other than below the knee.
Oh. And he worked for the UN.
How would you react to this? He was older and seemed quite earnest.
