I am ok with my current position, but the pay leaves me struggling with bills. I don’t make enough to save, I live in as cheap an apartment as I could find, and I haven’t had a vacation in 7 years. My work history is not traditional, but it has given adaptability and the capability to think well outside the box. I’m very detail-oriented, creative, and have shown an aptitude for data projects. My current title is admin assistant, and I have had multiple jobs where that kind of role was included in my duties. But I also do data analysis, map building/reading, claims review, claims assistance, invoice review, benefits analysis for clients, travel planning, and take customer service calls. I keep trying to tweak my resumé to better explain my abilities and tasks, but I rarely get interviews, and can’t seem to get ahead inside my company or otherwise. I am feeling lost at what else to do.
