I received an offer letter for a really great company. But the 4th sentence of the letter is this: "Your salary is considered to be confidential and is not to be discussed with other members of the company."
I know that this is an illegal requirement- the National Labor Relations act protects this type of employee discussion, and the state I live in has additional legal protections.
I believe this company would want to know that their language is not in accordance with regulations, but it also seems like bad form to point it out while signing the offer letter.
Should I sign first, then point out the applicable laws to HR, or point it out first and wait to sign?
