I was recently fired from my job. I'm now interviewing and I dread the questions asking why I left my previous job.
Do I lie? Do I be honest? Do I say my own version of the truth? I'm still not entirely sure why I was even fired. I wasn't on a PIP and the reasons they gave me weren't true or valid. Now I'm hearing the company is going bankrupt.
I don't want to be the person in a job interview who says that their company fired me for reasons that are false and then bash them how they are filing for chapter 11 but that is the truth.
What is the appropriate way to answer this question in an interview?
