I'm godmother to two nieces, and bought each of them a gold cross necklace. I replaced the chain as they got older and needed a longer length. My favorite gift for other baptisms is a "bless this child" cross (either wood or porceline) for the child's bedroom wall. Those run around $20. A keepsake jar engraved with their name is also something I've given. Those are about $20-$30.

You can find anything on Google. Search for "baptism gifts" and you'll see a plethora of ideas.

Thanks! I was hoping for first-hand accounts, though!
