Cheering up your friends

What's your favorite to cheer up a friend when they're upset? My friends and I are going through finals now and everyone's stressed and nervous, but we're all leaving each other for winter break soon and we want to make the most of our last few days together. What are some ways you cheer your friends up when they're feeling overwhelmed or down?

PJs, Child nostalgia movie (Disney, Pixar or for this season a Christmas movie), Face mask, pizza and talk. Something less time consuming for studying could be having a standing tea/coffee date, go pick them up get them a tea/coffee and then say you got this and go study. Make them a midnight breakfast or even scroll through your phone find the oldest picture of the two of you that you can send it with a message of encouragement.

Bake them something and bring them hot chocolate. Let them know you care about them and that all of you will get through the finals together! Bring them something that will help them focus and calm them down whether it's a stress ball, calming scents, etc.

Love all of these suggestions! A friends movie night or dinner/brunch could be a fun distraction and way to relax!

Send someone a Starbucks card. I do this often to cheer up friends and send encouragement! It could be $5, but buying someone a coffee and letting them know you are thinking of them is priceless.

Get them to start talking and then be quiet and listen until they're done.

I'm sure many of us hear can relate to that feeling at one point or another. I remember one finals week, my friend surprised me with coffee, candy and a lottery ticket. It was such a thoughtful way to just take a break and live in the moment. And no.. we didn't win any money. ;) But it was still fun.
