Virtual Retirement Party ideas needed

Hello - I have two employees who have given notice that they are retiring on April 3. They've been with the company 33 and 44 years. Normally we would do some kind of celebration for them - but with all the restrictions, that is not possible. My company is currently 100% remote. What are some creative ways we can celebrate their retirement? I'm drawing a lot of blanks (party planning is definitely NOT my strength and is something I actually dread).

Love all these suggestions! I'd definitely send a cake or an Edible Arrangement or something to their homes, and set up some kind of virtual event for folks to join. Also shout them out on social media (if they're comfortable with that) - show your company and those interested in your company that this isn't business as usual but you still want to celebrate these folks' careers!

The virtual happy hour is gaining ground, so why not a virtual retirement? I like the Tribute idea, and would also suggest having anyone who has pics or other docs scan and send those in for a virtual scrapbook of memories. The two can be combined into one remembrance.

There are a lot of companies that offer online cards. A few allow for multiple people to add messages to them. It could be a simple way to replicate passing a real card around the office for people to sign. Our company recently used the Tribute site (https://www.tribute.co/) to compile a series of short videos from all of us to a coworker that was leaving. We had employees spread out over the country that wanted to contribute, so this was an easy way to include everyone despite not being in the same place. It seemed to work pretty well and messages were much more heartfelt (and sometimes creative - there were goodbye skits!) than would have happened on card. There are many other companies like it - I recommend searching online to see if any may fit your need!

You could have a cake, flowers and gift delivered to them and hold a Zoom or other type of viral party where everyone can express their best wishes, etc. And plan on BBQ or some other type of gathering in a few months with things are back to normal.

You're invited.
