I think it depends on the type of job you're searching for. Fairygodboss is a great resource, as is Linkedin. If there are companies that you are passionate about, you can usually submit a resume directly on their website even if they don't have any jobs listed.

LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor. Check your area for any networking groups to join. Good luck!

Best place to start, and where to spend most of your job search efforts, is on networking. Start with friends, families and co-workers. Get involved in professional organizations and alumni groups. A great book on how to build a great network focused on your job search is called "The 2-Hour Job Search." Depending on your location, LinkedIn is key. If you are in a major metro area, get on LinkedIn. For rural areas it depends on the area. Where I am now (rural Wisconsin) few are on, but the cities an hour or so away are very active. Know that 96% of recruiters are on LinkedIn (this was 2 years ago so may be higher). If you are not sure what to put on your profile, look at the profiles of others in your field. Build up your LinkedIn presence to at least 300. Connect to recruiters and people at the companies you are interested in working for. Follow those companies.

I have been using LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed to locate open positions and companies. A friend has recommended ZipRecruiter but I haven't started on that site yet. After seeing an open position on LinkedIn I often visit the company website directly to see what other positions are open and what the story of the company is.

I am on LinkedIn as well as Indeed and a few others. I think that they all can be great tools for job searching but there are some scams that I have run across so be careful. Also I am finding out that you have to have a really strong resume. I am also searching for a job. I wish you good luck!

I have heard from friends and family that I should use LinkedIn as well, but I prefer Indeed.
