Advice for when you're feeling stagnant in your career, life etc.

I've recently had a number of conversations with women feeling this way. I'd love to hear your advice on what you personally do to shake things up when you're feeling stagnant in your career or life? Some of my advice was to incorporate more learning into your life through podcasts, courses, school etc. Additionally, I always encourage people to travel as you can learn so much about yourself, the world and your values when you do. Whats your advice?!

I update my LinkedIn and cast my lines in the water and see what I can learn about the market at that time. If I'm very lucky, I can step out of that role and in to a new one, and if I'm not, I at least know what is expected of the role I'm looking at, and I can take some online courses to change things up.

Absolutely, it really does! And learning a new skill is a great way to branch out. Thanks!

I'm definitely a big fan of traveling -- learning about new cultures can not only be invigorating, but also provide perspective. It's also always good to refresh since some of reason one might feel stagnant is due to burnout. Another "best practice" I've used is learning a new skill that could help you branch out in your career.

Great question! Asking rather than waiting for opportunities is a big one for me. If you're willing to ask for an opportunity and capable of meeting the challenge... go for it.
