I just cannot relax. Help!!

No matter what I do, I just can’t seem to relax, ever. I always have to do lists and my mind constantly thinks of whats next and what i need to get done. With the new year its worse... so many expectations Ive put on myself to get even more done, faster, better. And inevitably I fail at my task lists and then try making new ones while feeling bad for letting myself down. Its hard for me to say this, but I really need help. Can you ladies suggest anything? Please?

It appears that you know some of what you need to do; remove the expectations to do more/faster/better. Instead, set expectations to relax 30 minutes every day. Take baby steps when setting goals. For 30 minutes every day (try different times of the time to find what's best for you), take long slow deep breaths. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Try playing soothing music (Marconi Union – Weightless or Mozart – Canzonetta Sull’aria are good). Maybe a soak in a hot tub with an herbal essence would help. Keep trying until you find what works for you. Good luck!

What are things that relax you the most? Have you tried doing those activities on a regular basis. Personally, when my mind is racing, the following relaxes me: 1) reading a good book 2) closing my eyes and taking deep breaths 3) stretching 4) swimming 5) napping and 6) watching favorite old movies. I hope that helps!
